you may not have enough travel for the stock ones; I would measure the ride height after lowering and then get a shock that are compatible with your measurements and truck weight. After lowering mine I measured and called a Poisies (name close enough) for blistein shocks. They cost about $100 each but they were worth it in ride comfort.
If you lower your truck do you still use stock shocks ?
Depends somewhat on your shock mounts. My truck was lowered 5-6 inches due to putting the axle above the springs but I was able to use stock 53-55 Ford F-100 rear shocks on it....
I think you probably need a shorter shock. Anyone here have a picture of the mounts...my truck had no rear shocks from the factory and I am trying to source what pieces I need to add them.
