I have some issues with my Carburetor, and I am hoping someone else here has more experience with them than I do. I think the Carb may be leaking also. It acts like it is running out of fuel all the time. I can get it to move but it is hard to get moving. I rebuilt the carb, but this is not exactly my cup of tea so I may have done something wrong. I really want to run my truck on E-85, but I have read that requires rejetting the carb. Any help would be appreciated. I have posted pictures so those who know these things can possibly if the carb. Look in my album

Reason: bad picture post
Guess i was asleep in class. What is E-85? Mind you I live in the bush deep in the rain forest so things come to us a whole lot later than down south stuff. We are still getting eggs from WW2.

E-85 is fuel that is 85% max ethanol. It is generally cheaper than gas, and since my 66' is just a tool around town truck I would like to make it something that supports Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska more than Saudi Arabia. The first thing that most people warn you about running E-85 is that it dries gaskets out and so it will wear an old engine out or eat through fuel lines. I replaced all my fuel lines with new synthetics, and my engine is getting replaced next year anyway so, I figure start now. I just need to get the truck running well enough to tool around town in.
As it stands now it runs okay choked, and cold, once it warms up it runs horrible.
So, can anyone give me some instruction on how to adjust the float? I seem to remember I had similar issues with a 64 F-250 I had years ago. That one had fuel flowing out of the top though, and I replaced the float, problem solved.
If anyone could give me advice on how to change the float setting, I would appreciate it. I would also like to find the largest jet set for this carb so I can run E-85
I would get a kit for the carb. The ones I have used come with a thing to adjust the float height. I don't know where to get bigger jets as I have always just drilled mine out.
I am local to you and could come over sometime and help you out with your problems. As for your question about E-85, I have no clue about what it takes to convert a gas engine to E-85.
