light switch pigtail

does anyone know if i can buy a new light switch connector? Or do i have to get a used one from a wrecking yard? I looked on Rockauto, but only found the new switch itself--no connector/pigtail available. I also noticed that the new switch does not come with the stem for the ****, i guess i have to re-use my old one?

thanks guys,

Kevin

If that doesn't work, NPD or LMC or maybe Ebay should have it.

Im guessing that your replacing it because it melted. If you want to avoid that issue and increase the output of your headlights a little, get a relay harness. Ebay and LMC have it.

Yeah, it will take the load of the lights off of the switch, so it shouldn't overheat after that.

The headlight relay setup should be available from LMC Truck. Its also on Ebay sometimes. What year is your truck? It should take either 9004 or 9007 bulbs. You'll need to figure that out before you buy a relay kit.

Your welcome. If you want better bulbs, upgrade to GE Nighthawk (not sport) or Sylvania Xtravison. They are a little brighter than the regular bulbs. Since you have an 88, it should be 9004 bulbs.

So if you get a relay setup, the headlights will be brighter because you don't have the voltage loss from the current passing through all the extra wire to get to the cab & back?

Thats true too. If you do that get some GE Nighthawk (not sport) or at least Sylvania Xtravisons bulbs. I have this setup and I can tell the difference.

Is there a relay kit that allows the Canadian daytime running lights?
