Just bought a 2000 Expy and the compressor is vibrating severelly! I dont know if it is due to the rubber isolators on the bracket or not. It shakes rather violently. You can watch it move 1 to 2 inches back and forth. Haven't taken anything apart yet, but it is loose to the touch. Other than all the noise it seems to be working fine. It does kick on even when the key is not in the ignition and the truck has not been in use, is that normall??? I am not familliar with this suspension system at all!! Also i heard there is a bracket that can be bought with all new isolators in place. If so where can i get it and would that solve my problem??
ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRICIATED!!! Thanx
K found out today it is normall for the compressor to come on for up to 40 min. after shutting off vehicle. So I guess my main issue is all the vibration. I just need to know the name of the bracket to save time in ordering. I saw it on this forum before, but am unable to retrieve it. if any body can help with the name, if it does exist, would be great.

Reason: new info
My guess would be you need new bushings. There are 3 and they are at the bottom of the page in the link provided. You will need to take the washer tank out to get to it. It isn't really that hard of a project.
Just how much should the compressor be running? I have read that if the compressor runs a lot, it means one or more bag(s) is leaking. Will a leaking bag throw codes? My compressor runs for maybe 15-20 seconds every 15 or so minutes after I shut the vehicle off. I know its normal behavior for the vehcile to maintain the air suspension for a 1/2 hour or so. Does that amound of running sound right?
A year ago I just removed my compressor, put silicone rtv were the bushings used to be, let it set up a little and then reinstalled the compressor. Now I can only hear the compressor if the radio and engine are off

Good information! Especially since Ford will only sell the isolators with the bracket and for big bucks too.
Can also get just the isolaters from Arnott industries for only $19.99 for a set of 3. Takes about an hour to do the job! Just did mine this week on a 99 EB.
OK. First off, thanks to all for the responses. It may have lead to a bigger problem now.
My wife and I just had a baby and, due to the birth, I didn't have the time to replace the isolators. I was on my way from work to the hospital to see her and the baby, when the rear suspension just droped.
My question is where to begin. The check suspension light came on early that morning but quickly shut of and hasn't come on since, even with the rear end sitting on the axle. I have noticed that the compressor either hasn't been running, or is much quieter. Could the isolators being so worn have caused the compressor to go out, or is it a ride height sensor malfunctioning not telling the compressor to come on or not letting it know its not at the right height and could this be why its not kicking on the light??
I need to fix this asap before the baby comes home since there is no way I can put a newborn in it with how rough it rides
This must be your first. I say that because any experienced parent know that a ride with a lot of motion lulls a baby to sleep.
My first expy and air ride, but my 4th kid. Not just motion its almost painfull. Too painfull for a wife that had a c-section and a newborn that was 6 wks. early. The roads around here are rough.
I know you are very knowledgable about these things any suggestions??????
