It has a smallblock windsor of unknown size probably a 302 and auto tranny 6 in lift,4 in body lift sittin on 35x12.5x15.Fixed rear power window last nite and found the gas inside the truck smell.Makin a new filler hose today!
That Windsor mistery is easy to solve, look at the front of the engine, driver's side. If the waterpump mounts seem to make contact with the heads, it's a 302, if it's a couple inchs away, it's a 351. Being a 86, and supposing the tranny hasn't been swapped, you should have and AOD, as it was the most common tranny.
Fuel filler hose Replaced. Now the messed up wiring.Someone refresh my memory 86 was a carb. Not fuel injected right? The 86 wiring diagram in the old haynes book found under the back seat shows fuel injec. wiring.Mine has a edelbrock performer intake and edebrlock carb on it and a old school 60's dizzy,no duraspark HMMMMMMMMMMMMM Where to start,at least all the lights work if you flip a toggle switch Frickin everything has been run to a relay off thay toggle.I guess previous owner bad a battery draining prob?
86 was a transition year. You could have either a carb or EFI depending upon when it was made and where it was sold. EFI engines are easy to spot by the long intake air hoses to the throttle body and the rather hefty upper intake with the displacement in liters embossed in the top of it.
