Searched, and figured my gauge problem was most likely in the tank. Dropped the tank, removed sender, and took it apart to see what was going on. It looked like the arm wasn't contacting the windings (seen it before on other stuff), so I 'tweaked' it back a bit, and made sure it still had some tension. Wife was at work with my ohm meter in the trunk, so I plugged the sender in, and checked the gauge at several positions. All seemed good. Reinstalled everything, and put the 5 gallons it had in back. Gauge only came up to empty, which is why I was taking it apart in the first place. I'm thinking I just need to add a bit more gas, but in case that doesn't work....
What aftermarket fuel senders have you guys had good luck with? I seen a couple of bad reports on bronco graveyard...I don't really know if Ford still sells the factory one for my '84, but I really don't want to spend that kind of money anyways (especially since I'm broke as a joke all the time)...
