Battery Sizes, Trays, and Hold Downs

I've been doing some research on the auxiliary battery tray and coming to a blank page in the information on this site. I have seen diagrams on how the stock aux battery was hooked up, replacement trays for the passenger side (primary battery), and lots of other info, but nothing on the driver side tray hold downs.

The passenger side primary battery is a Group 27F, and has 2 little holes where the typical J-shaped rods go down through and bolt through a strap across the top of the battery.

The driver side aux battery is a different size battery, which I can get no problem, but I can't find the straps! That side does not have the little holes. Instead it has little tabs that stick up on the ends of the battery, and I don't have a clue how those are supposed to work.

Does anybody have good information on this, or at least a photo of your 2nd battery. Anybody with a super camper special?

thanks

...huh. it sure looks stock, or at least the bolt pattern is exact, no holes are drilled, and it's rusty! I figured it was stock...

so what about the factory solenoid location?

thanks for the image

who has a battery tray they're not using? I want it! as long as it's not totally rusted through, I'll be glad to send somebody a few bucks.
