Help Identifying...Cant find the thread

So I cant re-find the thread that this was in, I been looking for 2 days and I cant remember what I put in to search. What is the part name for this plug/wire/harness (From Dave Sponaugle), it seems to run power to the entire truck through this plug, and on the post I read that I cant find it is a pain in the *** because it goes bad by heating up and crapping out. Does anyone know the part number? Any information about this part is helpful, I am trying to learn about this new (old) truck. 1986 F250.

Thanks
Cody C.

Isn't this in the very first thread "Read First..." ?
There was discussion on heating and damage, may have been the grey connector in the top right though...
I don't know the older trucks well, but I'm surprised no one else has commented.

Personally, I don't understand the OP's question ...

It appears he knows what the connector is for, as for a part number ... Someone elses guess is better then mine!

Why ... If it's fried cut it off and replace with insulated spade terminals.

The one circled in yellow, Yellow wire feeds power to the truck, Green/Red wire is 12v+ keyon/keystart ...

The grey one up and to the right is the Engine harness to Chassis harness connector and is notorious for burning up.

Yea, the description of the thread sounds like the discussion about the Engine to Chassis harness conenctor in the glow plug thread.

I'd do the same; the parts stores all have a selection of connectors and joiners, there's no particular reason to find the original type. I've replaced several with generic types or solder and insulator.

Ok, I was mostly wondering if I could just take that plug out and strait wire it, which from Festus' answer I can just spade terminal the two yellow wires. If Im wrong let me know. And what this wire actually does, which apparently I already knew, it gives power to the truck.

In the case of the grey Engine harness to chassis harness up and to the right with orange, pink, red, white, etc., that seems to be known to burn up, can I just strait wire all those separately? I know they're different gauges, so Ill have to match gauges if I wire separately. What do you guys do when that burns up, for those who have had it happen, get another engine/chassis harness or just strait wire them to each other. Id rather not be 200 miles away from town and that pile burn out. It'd be easier if I could just rewire it now and know its not going to be a problem.

If Im being unclear let me know, apparently I was in my first post.

Theres so many ridiculous wires, some of which just seem to disappear inside the truck somewhere.

So after thinking about it for 3 minutes, my questions are rather dumb, and I found Daves explanation for what to do with the bad wire, which I should have done before I started typing.

From Dave: "If the connector looks like it has been hot, melted and deformed plastic, the repair involves cutting the two large wires which should be yellow or tan on your truck close to the connector on both sides. Now splice them around the connector and insulate the splice so it can not short out."

Sorry for the dumb redundant posts everyone.

No question is a dumb question ...

Other then the wire colors what you read in Dave's post is correct.
The 86 GP wires are Orange/LtGreen and Orange/White.

Yes, Just cut them off the connector and use insulated spade connectors.
