cylinder heads

I am pulling the engine in my 72 f100 2wd I am going to work on it during the winter. It has the original 302 two barrel i would like to change the heads because they do not have dardened seats so i must use a lead subsitute my question is what heads would be good for my stock engine.Iam planning on changing the cam and lifters also an edelbrock intake with a holly 600 cfm carb and headers. Can anyone help me choose the right heads i am looking for cast iron heads. thanks everybody.

World Products - WINDSOR JR. Iron Heads

or similar competitive product. less than 600 bucks each assembled. it would be difficult to get your stockers rebuilt with hardened seats for that.

or junkyard heads. like the explorer 5.0 heads

If I remember right, Number Dummy answered this in a post this summer that starting in 72, cylinder heads were equipped with hardened seats to begin with. I tried to search through the forum for this answer, but didn't have much luck.

you could go with so E7 ford heads(5.0 heads) they are a decent performance head and can be found for cheap or even look for some iron gt40's which are a step ahead performance wise
