You're gonna need to grow thicker skin there Greenie.
Sorry, if your feelings were hurt.
And if you don't think trucks don't last long past the 250k mark, you've spent way too much time driving "the other brands".
.....talk about a humorous read
It didn't hurt my feelings Burt. Chances are pretty good, my list of vehicles owned seriously shames yours. I have had a number from each brand. I kept my '99 F350 until it had 280k on it. I kept my '92 Dodge until it had 325k on it. My last F150 work truck had 266k on it. You are a fool if you think somehow Ford has a lock on long lasting trucks. That is the sort of response I would expect though, from a brand loyal fool Dude, you need to get out more.

I do take care of my vehicles and yes I do drive Ford Trucks strictly so perhaps that is why you have gone through more vehicles than me. Having said that, you know what happens when you make assumptions.

Number one selling truck for how many years.......
I only see Fords in your signature...why is that?
Oh and I do get out alot.......My truck(a Ford) starts every time
Seriously dude, I thought Dodge guys had a little more class than you showed in your first post....But I guess there are exceptions to every rule.

Like I said, I have owned them all. I started out a Chevy man back with an '89 Suburban. I finally gave up on them with my last chevy a '03 2500HD. I had half a dozen Chevys, eight Dodges and have had five Fords. I just happen to know better than to stick with just one. For the most part, I haven't NEEDED to keep trucks beyond 100k miles. The ones I did were work trucks, and the fact is, by 250k miles they are worn out no matter who built it.
I have Fords now because they were cheap. Give me another year or so and I will be back in a Benz.
Ford is number one because of what? Fleet sales of bargain basement priced models? Big deal.
My son's truck is a 97 F150 4x4 with the 5.4 and has over 310k on it with not hardly anthing done to the motor. Up until now just had to replace some of the coil paks, and then normal maintanence. But his stopped running the other day. I believe it may be a fuel pump, 310k on a fuel pump it quite a bit. Hopefully that's all it is. I haven't had a Ford of any kind that I haven't put over 225k miles before I sold it. All of them were still running and have had no major problems with any of them.
