Axle Leaking

What all is involved to fix a dana 60 that is leaking gear oil out the axle seal on the passenger side, where the axle goes into the casing.

This is one of my last major fixes.

either way, remove the hub, remove the internal gears and get a bearing socket (keyed) to remove the nut and bearings. remove the nuts for the ball joints, remove the knuckle from the axle and you can get it from there. Pirate4x4.Com - Extreme Four Wheel Drive

What is the seal called that I need?

Where the universals/Axle go into the axle casing is where it leaks

I was told by someone that I had to remove the carrier and pretty much tear it all down to replace the seal. Someone have a part number for the seal?

You have to compleatly disasemble the front to replace the seal, as the seal installs inside the pumpkin. One on each side where the axle enters the pumpkin.
