Joe, is there not a big nut inside there? This is where you need the spindle nut socket, which is a special tool, but you may be able to rent/borrow or buy one at the parts places.
thank guy i found one it tokk about 2 hours of tracking it down but i got one side striped to the spindle but the slip over clip on the other is not wanting to come out
Couldn't tell if you got it Joe, but there is a wire ring just inside the hub there that holds the body of the hub lock in. What i did to take mine out was take my pocket knife and pry the end out of the groove, then take something with a hook on the end (a bent paperclip is just fine) and grab that wire and pull it out.
Then that aluminum body will slide out, then the nut is right behind it. You'll need the socket posted above for that.
Take that nut out and the whole hub slides off the spindle. Then you'll see the nut that hold the spindle on, and after you remove those and the spindle the axle will slide right out.
