Engine issues....

I am having issues with my 97 Expedition. The original engine seized up on me and a mechanic replaced it with a 00 model engine. With in a month and a half of the new engine being installed, it started to miss and run very rough. Have changed out both plugs and coil packs. This has remedied the problem for a short time but the missing always returns.

Any suggestions.....

New plugs and new COPs?

How are the injectors, were they inspected or tested?
Have you tried wiggling wires with the engine running to see if you can make it skip?
