Along with all the other ideas that have been suggested in this thread, I will also replace the brake lines. So far I have new rear shocks(coil-overs), new rear fuel tank, and new sending unit for the fuel tank. I plan on having the rear bumper powder-coated white and having the 4 wheels done the same way.

Does anybody know if the bed from an 8 ft. F-150 will fit on an 8 ft. F-250?

Any tips will be considered. Thanks for all the help.

Dennis

I removed my bed with a reciprocating saw (sawzall) and an angle grinder, in 1'x1' sections that I proceeded to throw into the recycling bin. you'd be amazed how much of a car can fit into a single trash bin

I believe a 8ft. bed from a half ton should will fit a F.250 as long as the F.250 is a 77.5-79

I removed a bed recently to sell off of one of my parts trucks. ended up welding a 1/2" nut to the bolt head and it turned right out. If a guy was careful you could grind the nut off and re-use the original bolt although I dont know why youd want to............Its a PITA!!!!!!!!

did you get the bed off? i took mine off in november, the night before i went through and took the bolts out and unhooked everything else, the next day my brother in law came over in the 2 of us got it off but i do suggest 4 people. So far i have sandblasted and undercoated the driver side frame rail using KBS coatings rust seal. I plan on replacing the leaf spring bushings and shocks while its off. I also broke almost all of the bolts off the hold the bumper on, not a good deal, one broke off in the frame
