I have thought about that but my trucks paid off and man is it running great.
Im in the same boat as you, to replace my truck with the exact same one in a 2011 would be almost 60k. I think Im gonna do some more reliability mods and put some stds in and run the doors of this truck, plus Ive only got 65k on it.

I hear you mine is paid off too with only 34k on it, but Im having a hard time trusting it to pull my trailer.. Not to say that a new truck couldnt break down as well but at least it would all be under warranty.
I had a buddy that had an X that broke down on him while pulling his trailer, still under warranty they called ford and they brought him another truck so he could continue on while they towed the X and repaired it. That would cost a fortune to accomplish out of pocket.

Hope I never need it but my AAA RV ins. will tow the truck and the 5er up to two hundred miles no charge.

I'd pull the trailer & not worry about it.
Our 04 we factory ordered & it's still stock. It's had it's major problems (see below) & we're getting ready to tow our 37 ft. 1/5th whl (total weight trk & trailer = 21,000+ lbs.) from San Diego to Fort Bragg then Napa & back & then to Oregon in Nov. It runs great!
Everything repaired under warranty:
Charge Air Cooler Assembly - 4 times
Crankshaft Rear main seal - 2 times
CAC duct & clamp
EBP Sensor
EP Sensor & connector
Blown Intercooler & blown turbo charger
Pinion oil seal
EGR cooler assembly - 2 times
Head gaskets
A/C compressor assembly
Cam sensor leaks - 2 times
Even at all that I'll take this trk any day of the wk. It runs better & smoother now after all the work & the Nov. 09 flash that it ever has.
