Did you use a calculator for that figure? Just curious, my buddy and I have been trying to figure it out for a half an hour or so. I would like to know the actual calculations to come up with the final value.
I hope we can do this. I enjoy open chat threads among people with similar interests as long as there is only one and not cluttering up the topic with all kinds of them.
Found this pic and just had to share. Figured it would be a great conversation started.
Genuine GM of Japan, that is pretty funny but the way it is these days.
Years ago a fella I worked with bought a brand new T100 the first year they came out. Open the hood and right there on the radiator was a big blue sticker "Genuine GM Parts". No rip on Toyota or GM I've seen some of both that ran on and on, but that T100 of his was a real pile. It spent more time in the shop than his driveway the first three months. He only kept if for a year or so.
Math quiz: You have 17 quarts of fluid. You change 41% of the fluid and it all mixes together. You change another 41% of the fluid and once again it all mixes together. One final time you change 41% of the fluid, what percentage of the old fluid is still left in the mix?
Simply answer, too much.
This is what I got out to see with my oldest son today. It was a bit of a bonus to see some humpback whales coming up out of the water going after bait ***** of herring. Kinda cool to see. Only had time to take a few photos, cuz it seemed like when ever I turned on the camera we would have another fish hit the line, and I had to go and pull it out.

Am I helping you and your buddy with your math homework or something!
The way I figured it was you started with 100% and changed 41% which left 59%
So the first oil change left 59% original oil
Then you changed another 41% which left 59% of the original 59% (.59 *.41 = 0.24 or 24% of the original)
Then you changed 41% of the last 24% (.59 * .24 = .1416 or 14.16% of the starting 17 quarts)
Therefore of the original 17 quarts you have 17 * 0.1416 or 2.4072 quarts remaining...
Keeping a house clean with kids... How do you guys with younger kids keep your house clean? make the kids clean up their mess? You clean up constantly after the kids?
My house is a constant mess and I am constantly picking up toys or papers or some kind of mess. I've tried to get the kids to clean up behind themselves even just a little bit but they forget after the first time.
At work, when I hear coworkers in their 20's say that, I wonder to myself if they really know what a broken record is like. They never knew about putting a penny on the stylus to fix it.
