Transmission question

Hello all,

I have just recently replaced my transmission with a rebuilt one at a mechanic shop. The truck I have is a 2002 f150 V8 5.4L and 2wd. What I have noticed is that it shift a bit hard and late. Can this be adjusted to shift smoother?

did they install MERCON or MERCON V ? You need the newer synthetic V oil.-- just a thought.

They did use the mercon fluid.
