I have the original title from brand new n my 77 f150 the model number says F141H. Now, on the title to my 78 parts truck it also says F141H The guy I bought it from( the 78) said it was because it was a snow commander or something to that effect. Don`t quote me. What do most 77-78 f150 titles list for model#
'77 F141 is F150 4WD 6150 lb GVW, '78 is F150 4WD 6300 lb GVW. I don't know what the "H" signifies, The F141 is what should be listed under "model" on your warranty plate.
Thats a possibility, I think it would have been something added by the state though.
In all of their manuals and parts catalogs Ford never uses the term "Heavy Half". And in the model number breakdown in the parts manual it just lists F141, no H suffix.
Both of my 77 F-150s just say F-150. I know in IL the title will just come back to whatever the DMV types in. I've ran into that a few times but one that comes to mind is my old 1993 Bronco. I bought it from my uncle and the model was listed as a U-100. The DMV was like, what is a U-100? I told them a Bronco so when I got the title it said Bronco. I've also had motorcycle titles that just say motorcycle. I've told the DMV the exact model name and the title comes back with what model I told them it was.
