I know how you feel as I wanted a black one. They were simply too expensive at the time I bought mine before TS outlaw 09. Besides I loaded mine with beer (in a cooler inside the box and extra cases) and I did not want the contents baking away in that black box in the southern sun here. Anyway, I am pretty happy with my aluminum unit.

Not trying to offend, just offering ideas. Aluminum is not always a bad finish. I like what you have done with your truck and understand the blackout look. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Mike....."trifling"????? Now that made me chuckle. Now having zinged you, I must say I agree with your observation. V/r Les

I know right. That was me trying to be politically correct.

Wow. Thanks for all the info guys! That really helps. And thanks for the compliments on the stuff I have done thus far. I called around and it would be $120 to $150 to get it powder coated (outside only). And about $200 to get it Line-X'd (outside only). So basically it is down to getting it powder coated black, or doing it myself. Ugh. Tough decision.

For the +$50, I would get it Line-X'd! That would be sweet.

I know huh. It would be awesome! Would match the rest of the stuff I did too. $200 is a lot better than buying a new toolbox thats for sure. I am going to wait on this one though. I want to start the "blacking out process", but I know that I want gauges, and a tuner first. So there is no point in dropping the money on cosmetics for now. Looks good for the time being. How much was your lift Jeff?

Here's the thread I started after I put it on, these were 2005 prices though......

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/3...-and-yeti.html

I would check with Clayton on current prices.
