Updated Pics with Mods

Here are some updated pics with the Mod's I've added to date. The bed has been sprayed with matching color liner. The B&W Turnover Ball has been installed(real clean installation). Installed a Truxx semi-leveling/lift kit. Raised it 2.5" up front and 1' in the rear. Medium tint was added all around. Next are the Nitto Trail Grappler tires but need to gather up some funds.

Beautiful truck. I love that color too. I have a question on the leveling kits that I hear everyone talk about installing. They make the truck look great sitting when empty, but does it tend to squat down in the back when towing or hauling? I know the higher riding standard rear end is meant to allow the truck to ride level when loaded?

Yes, it will squat beyond level but that doesn't worry me. I will be installing some Timbrens or Air Bags to eliminate that and will only be working when under load. My other truck came with Overload Springs which helped alot.

Is that color-matched liner LINE-X? My dealer is trying to steer me away from the color-matched due to potential fading and is recommending I stick with black - but yours sure looks sharp!

No, its the dealer's own brand, Star Liner. Comes with lifetime warranty against fading, peeling, etc. That works for me. It's the same dealer that installed the B&W Turnover ball GN system.

My line-x dealer guy carries a product called "Just Once". It's a non silicone based sealer that makes the line-x look brand new and lasts several months. It's a good product and known by lots of line-x installers since the stuff fades so badly. Black fades and dulls just as bad as the other colors.

Very, very nice. I like the fact they took the time and did not just spray over the bed bolts.

this is my 3rd super duty with color matched line-x. They currently use dupont kevlar and it's lifetime warranty. So even if it fades, you get it re-done for free. Beleive me, it's worth the price and it lasts

Pressure wash it, it'll look brand new unless you spill some cetane booster on there and it eats it a little bit...whoops

I would just like to say you have a great looking truck !! I like the color, I also added a leveling kit to my 08 F350 4wd srw, makes the truck look normal when sitting still. Good luck and you picked the best looking and working truck on the market FORD Trucks it doesn't get any better than that !!!!

TIRES ARE ON

Well I got the rubbers on!!!!!! They are the Nitto Trail Grappler M/T's 295/65/20. I chose these because of the size being offered and the Max Load Capabilities of 4080lbs @80lbs each. There's also the hype of the wear being good. We'll see on that one. I wanted a tire that would give me the most Load Capabilities as I tow a heavy Fifth Wheel. Also, the width is perfect as there is no internal rubbing at all vs. the 35/12.50/20's. These are like 11.5" wide. Here's a pic. I'll take better ones once the rain stops and I wash her up.

Timbrens have just arrived and should be installed this week. It really needs them as she squated quite a bit with the 5er hooked up.

Looking forward to better photos. If I squint really hard, I think I can tell the difference from stock... Joking, really looking forward to close-ups. I was considering changing both wheels and tires but I like the factory wheels. Those Nittos fit just right.

I will ASAP. Just waiting for some clear skies to wash her up and post. The tires are actually 34.5 inches tall vs the stock 33 inches tall. Those are measurements on the truck. Off the truck they are 35.5" and stocks are 34". From the floor the the rear fenderwells, she measures 44.5" and from the floor to the front fenderwells, she measures 44". I never measured it while stock but it sure was shorter. I now barely clear my garage by 1".
