Home schweet home.

The neighbors two doors down put their house up for sale while we were gone. I guess they didn't want me trying to talk them out of it.

Not today. It was cloudy all the way down to around Mendota then it cleared up nicely, only to be overcast again once we got into the basin.

We miss you, George! It's just that we don't see you as often, and since we're getting old, we forget easily.

What was it I was supposed to remember.........

I forget..............

Good mornin' all!

Yeah, it's pretty nice. We're usually blazin' this time of year.

Maybe next week

Heading out to Bud's shop here in a few to hook up to the Ford IDS and see what the deal is with the truck. It hasn't gotten any worse, but it hasn't gotten any better.

No codes, balance/contribution test looked great, fuel pressure is fine...everything checked out OK. Reflashed the PCM to the VXCF9 strategy on Bud's suggestion, so we'll see how the cold start is tomorrow.

I'll need to get new tunes written, but if this flash cures the problem I'll be more than happy.

I guess that's good news - but it has to leave you with lingering doubt. Something changed in the last month, right? Did he check the FICM?

I wonder how he manages to get the Ford data?

FICM voltage was fine.

Yeah, I'm not 100% confident that the problem is solved, but I trust his recommendation for this as a good place to start, particularly since he didn't charge me a cent to do it

As far as the Ford data goes, he's paid the licensing fee for their IDS.

Guys like this **** me off and I'm biting my tongue. This shop is giving him a portion of exactly what he deserves.
