long weekend at the motocross race - some rider decided to take me out and wreck my bike after i passed him, luckily i was able to get the parts needed to fix it before the second race
justin i feel like you should have double interest in the performance 300 thread started by josiah, seing how you have TWO of them! how did your axle rebuild go?
I may own two but one hasn't run in at least two years now and hasn't been registered in 10 years, lol. The axle parts aren't here yet but I stripped the axle down to bare bones yesterday. I've never swapped gears personally so I'll let my mechanic take care of that part and I want to have the axle tubes welded to the center section as well.
When I eventually work on the '83 again I hope to build a 400m for it or if I could find another 4.2L V8 ( should have never let the first one go) but they are ultra Rare
I think it would be a pain, the mc engine's cylinders are separate from the crankcase or at least that's how it was on my old dirt bike. So you would need to cut the crankcase off two blocks and weld them to the new V style crankcase, interesting idea thought
how about this justin(and josiah), instead of using the i6 head, or even older small block chopped up heads......fab up a head using DOHC cobra heads. you would need to get a custom camshaft made, but i think that would make for a really happy i6!
