Can someone post a pic of a V-belt 460 with the ac compressor istalled. I got a motor, but all my bracketry and bolts are thrown into 1 bucket and I'm just trying to see what I have and dont have. Thanks.
Looks like mid to late 70s car, especially if that is a GM A6 compressor hanging over beyond the power steering pump. It could even be earlier, I pulled some stuff off a 72 Lincoln that had that setup. My 71 Colony Park 429 was similar, but had a York 2cyl compressor, and I think some of the brackets were different. I sold the car in 1995, and had put the Lincoln automatic climate control in the wagon along with the dashboard.
Mine is missing more than a few things, the air pumps were long gone when I got the truck, all of the other emissions equipment is LONG gone now.
This is a somewhat current engine picture:
The truck has 2 vacuum lines now...
The fans are off of a 2000 Chevy Malibu, bracketry as you can see if just angle, total overkill but I don't like the typical aftermarket push the plastic pin through the fins setup...
It bolts to the lip on the top of the rad and the lower brackets sit in the clips for the bottom of the fan shroud.
I have a few taurus and Windstar fan setups laying around, but the Malibu fans keep the 460 happy on the trail, and would probably be plenty for a highway rig.
does anyone have anyone pics of a fuel injected 460 or the serpentine system installed in a 77-79 f250 4x4, i am building a 78 crew cab long box 4x4, the frame is from a 78 supercab, i have the l and l motor mounts, i am using the brackets and everything off of a 1990 f250 4x4 and my alt is in the right spot and everything but i tried putting my a/c and power steering bracket on and the power steering pump and bracket hit the steering gear, i thought about notching the bracket but that still doesn't fix the pulley, i have seen a few other guys have done this but they never put pics of what they did or even said what parts they used, any info would be greatly appreciated
I don't have any real good shots of the front of the engine with everything open, but here are some when I first did mine. I still had the carbureted top end on it, but did use the 1990 accessory brackets.
thanks for the pics but i need some from a 78 or 79 f250 4x4, i am using a carbed motor but everything still bolts up the same so if someone did a fuel injected swap into a pickup or put the serpentine system on a carbed motor but its gotta be in a 78 or 79 f250
