Hey all, I'm installing a 460 from a motorhome into my 1977 2wd F250 with a 351m. I just realized the motor mounts on my engine do not fit into the stock anchors. I'll try to get a pic, there is too much metal on the mount around the pass through hole. It's close, I may try to trim off some of the metal around the hole so the anchor sits lower and I can slip in the bolt if I cant easily source a new one...
Does anyone know if the engine side mounts on a 351m/400 bolt onto a 460? I don't' want to try to find one while the engine is on the cherry picker trying to find it's new home..
Pic was lifted from the net, if you look at the engine side mount in this pic (bottom) I have a lot more metal around the hole and less of an "ear" for the hole.. part number list 6030 and 6031

You will need the following to install a 460 into a 1973/79 F100/350 2WD
See upper parts catalog pic below the text.
Part numbers for reference only, all are obsolete. The rubber insulators are available from auto parts stores.
1973/79 F100/350 460:
D3TZ-6028-A Right & D3TZ-6029-A Left .. Engine Supports aka towers/stands/perches.
D3TZ-6030-A Right & D3TZ-6031-A Left .. Brackets. These bolt to the block, the rubber insulators bolt to these, then to the engine supports.
2) D3TZ-6038-A .. R & L Front Rubber Insulators aka motor mounts.
D8TZ-6A023-C (replaced D3TZ-6A023-A) .. Rear Engine Support Bracket. Same as 1973/76 F100/250 2WD & F350 with 360/390.
D3TZ-6068-A .. Rear Engine Rubber Insulator.
1983/97 F250/350 & F(Super Duty) 460, 1975/97 Econoline 460 and 1968/78 Passenger Car 460 engine mounting parts will not work!
Basic numbers shown in pic, remove the prefix and suffix from the part numbers I posted.
Thanks Bill I have the isolators I guess I have to hunt for the other pieces. I have the frame perches that will work on this set up. Here's my issue hopefully someone has one to measure for me also..
As far as number of holes, yours have 4 and the 460 mounts with only 3. Here are the ones i took off my 460. I don't have one from the side but as you know, the ears are more narrow. Another thing, your holes are a square pattern to the 'box' and the 460 mounts are offset, your isolator bolt hole is even with the top set of holes.
well, I'm confused, as I originally posted I'm pulling my 351m and swapping in a 460. I finally found that one bolt that is not letting me remove the engine. I noticed that the anchor and perches I purchased that look like the pics in the above posts are not what I need. My perches have only one bolt not a through bolt shown on the 460 anchor. I only realized this now, as I dug into the swap.
Here is what I have on my 2wd f2501977 frame. The question is what anchor and engine mount do I need to bolt up my new 460. ? I'm kinda in a bind now as I was hoping to pull the engine and place the new one in the bay at one shot.. Will a stock 351m/400 engine mount bolt to the 460? or do I need a custom mount? or do I need new perches?

If I'm not mistaken that engine plate is from the motor home 460 that you are using for your donor. It is the one used in the econolines and are different than the ones for the pickups. I'm in the process of swapping the 360/ 3 on the tree for a 460/c6 in my 76 f100 sb. Had plans to do it today but something came up. Will be doing it tomorrow weather permitting.
