2011 model year F-150

Does anyone know when the 2011 model year F-150 will be released?
Does anyone know which trim level, cab, and drivetrains the 3.7 liter normally aspirated Cyclone V6 and the 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 will be available with?

Job 1 at Dearborn Truck is early November. This will be for the 3.7L, 5.0L, and 6.2L. The 3.5L EB will be a Job 2 build late 1st quarter 2011. I believe that the 3.7L will be available in the XL and XLT's.

So they discontinued the 2010's and no 2011's yet?

All of the lots right near new orleans are getting down on there 2010 inventory quick. I know somebody who was looking and couldnt even find what they wanted as its only cheapo supercabs and lariat and plat crewcabs.

I believe that you can still order a 2010 until sometime in early Sept.

I wouldn't think that the dealers would by ordering any for their own stock anymore. I got lucky with mine. I called my salesman and told him what I wanted (Lariat CC 4x4) and he had just gotten it in the week before.

Most of the dealerships here that usualy stock 30-40 f150s have like 3-5 5.4L.

The 4.6L is a joke, what made them keep the pussified version in production i dunno, it really needs atleast the mustang 4.6L

What makes it a joke? I'm serious, why is it a joke? I'm of the opinion that people who think the 4.6 2V is a joke are the people that expect diesel like performance from a tiny gas V-8. This engine is not designed to push snow or pull 10K loads.

Name one Ford engine since 1997 that has been more reliable and longer lasting taking into account the work that it is expected to do.

After the 3.5 and 3.7 have been in the trucks for a while, the 4.6's will still be on duty while the V-6's are being cannibalized for parts from some salvage yard.

I'm not taking your post personal or trying to start crap, just curious of your assertion sir.

You must not have one or else you wouldn't be spewing this kind of stuff, seriously. The 4.6 3 valve is quite a decent motor and puts out 292 hp. Hauls my truck and trailer just fine and returns 18-19 mpg in mixed driving. That's no joke.

I had a 4.6 2v in a 2000 Crown Vic. I heard many, many people whine about how much of a dog it was but I tell you what.....it was peppy, dependable and returned great mpg. I would buy one in a heartbeat in a pickup if I didn't need to tow my TT. It would be fine for normal driving and everyday hauling.

I have had two trucks with the 4.6 including my current truck. Neither one ever let me down. They did exactly what they were designed to do and I have been very pleased with them. If you match the truck/engine with what you need it to do, you should not have any problems.

Talking

The 2011s will be released early November I believe. That 3.7L V6 is the same as the Mustang engine. Now, the 3.7L V6 will be available FOR SURE in the XL and XLTs but a possibility of being in the Lariat. I imagine the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 will be available in all trim levels except the SVT Raptor. I think that because Ford is giving the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 the max tow rating of 11,300 pounds when properly equipped. Then the 3.7L V6 and 5.0L V8 don't have the max tow rating. I don't know why about the 5.0L because it makes more power than the old (new, but old) 5.4L and they rated the 5.4L at 11,300 pounds. Either way, just buy Ford!!

No EB in the Harley or Raptor. Towing limit lower with 5.0L as its not available with max tow pkg. Weak link is not engine, its the rest.
