Well i would like to replace my stock squished an cracked body mounts. I called " lordco" auto parts... they have a kit from Energy suspension... but what i don't get is they list 12 mounts.. I believe the cab an clip is 6 mounts.. but isn't the box 8 mounts with no real actual space between the bed rail and frame. Trying to figure out this " stock replacement " body mount kit. Can any of you guys shed some light on this for me? It comes in on monday so i can see it in person.
thanks again.
Also, the metal cups, plates, or whatever you call them, dont come with the energy suspension kit so keep in mind if your metal hardwre is in bad shape you will need those also. I bought the complete rubber stock replacement kit from LMC Truck, and it came with all hardware AND the metal pieces included.

I also bought the LMC kit and it worked great. I did have a few of the big washer/nuts that didnt thread correctly and one phone call later they sent me some new washer/nuts.
Are those LMC mounts.. rubber or that stiffer stuff? i can always send it back if need be.. maybe i'll call lmc tomorrow see how long it would take them to ship.. thanks for the help

LMC has the OEM rubber type with the OEM washer/nuts.
Does it also have the through bolt? or re use/replace it. guess thats mute. What's your opinion on rubber will it squish early.. guess its fine for 30 years haha. Just like the idea of longer life.. she'll be in my family for generations to come.
If you buy the LMC kit, you have alot of options, you can buy the pieces all seperately, by location (ie: Core support mounting kit, cab mounting kit, bed mounting kit, ect), or as a complete kit. It is cheapest to buy the complete kit. Yes the complete kit does include ALL hardware including the through bolts. Rubber will not last as long as polyurethane-true. The black poly parts will last longer than the red ones and wont squeek either because they are grafite impregnated for lubricity and will not sun fade and deteriorate like the red ones do. What a friend of mine did was to buy the whole LMC kit (cheaper this way), as well as the Energy suspension kit, and resold the rubber mounts without the metal parts on Ebay for a few bucks. At least he made back a little of his money doing it this way.
i bought an all inclusive meaning bumper to bumper kit from jeffs bronco graveyard that worked perfectly for my 78 150. and they were polyurethane bushings. so they are stronger and give you a better ride. plus they are suppose to last longer. and they look just like the factory ones. i don't remember how much they were though being that i bought them about 3 years ago.
As for an "all inclusive polyuresthane kit", they dont make one, either your kit was rubber not urethane, or it was the energy suspension kit and came without the metal sleeves for the bushings. And having dealt with both sets of these personally, the poly ones dont look identical to factory rubber ones either, just the heights and Id of bolt holes are the same, apperance is different. Here is the link to Jeffs bronco graveyard. 1967-79 Full Size Truck/bronco - Bushings/polyurethane - Body Mounts & Hardware I believe LMC had the full rubber kit for cheaper when I purchased mine.
There are 4 sets of mounts under the cab, two sets under the rad suppoert, and none under the bed, unless your dealing with a Bronco. It is just bolts to hold down the bed.
I bought that poly kit from Bronco Graveyard. I couldn't reuse my old sleeves cause they were rusted together too bad and cut them out. I used some black steel pipe and made my own sleeves and have had no problems. The washers were the hardest to come by, the kit has 2 with it, there is 2 I reused from the truck and I found 2 smaller ones for the front from Lowes, I also used a stack of 3 fender washers to finish up where I needed them. I also used 1/2" grade 8 bolts for everything. Here is my link: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...em-solved.html
