4R100 problems
Hey guys, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction here, preferrably not in the direction of a transmission shop.
The problem my trans is having is very sporadic. Basically, it only happens when it rains, never when its dry, and it doesnt happen every rain. I'll go through a large dip full of water or go mudding and my transmission will start staying in first, maybe second, but wont up shift, even if the column solector is used.
But again, it doesnt happen everytime. I've looked over the wiring, fluid level and condition. I looked at what engine load sensors may be responsible, but no luck. I did, at one point, replace the idle air valve during one incident, it was sticking pretty bad, was gummed up with crap, not sure if it was related. Everything I can think of short of actually pulling the tranny apart. Why pull it apart if it works fine 99% of the time.
I havent had the problem in a while, but also havent been in the mud or rain lately.
