I picked up a 2010 F-150 XLT Supercrew last weekend. Brought it home and the first thing I did was to buy 2 cans of Scotchguard spray and sprayed all the seats. One coat one day, then a second coat 2 days later. Yesterday, I was putting something in the truck and cut my finger. Did not see it until the blood had dripped onto the seat! There were three spots, and only 158 miles on the truck! I went and got my can of " Blue Coral Upholstry Shampoo/Cleaner " and sprayed it onto the stain, rubbed it with the attached brush, then blotted with a clean white cloth. Did this two times, vacumed the area, and........NO STAIN!!! 100% stain-free. Just a note to let you know the $8 for a can of Scotchguard is a real good investment for now and the future. Scotchguard recommends a yearly application for best results.
yep, great advice for anyone with cloth seats. My 04 had grey cloth seats and I had the dealer apply their interior scotchguard package (only once at the time of purchase) and my seats looked great 5 years later although I didn't ever really spill anything major on them. I recall others complaining that plain water would stain their seats but not mine...
This is why I always get leather in my trucks. My 2001 Excursion has the leather interior and looks new almost 10 years later. You could never say that about cloth.....
