The 2.25" springs are also shorter than all the other ford springs so nothing will bolt right back in the factory places. Also when you go looking at junkyards keep in mind that anything older will probably also be sagging. Lookin into the newer chevys. Ive got 64s out of an 06 3500 hd and with the shackle flip i fit 37s with no problem.
80-96 springs really dont flex that well and give lots o axle wrapo
if they don't flex well how do they give lots of axlewrap????
:flipoff:
i had l and l ladder bars to take care of the wrap, and they were very flexy to me, but to each their own i guess. it was a mud truck, not a rock crawler.
Blocks will help add to the axle wrap too.
If you tinker with the suspension a bit you can make it flex okay. (Removing everything that doesn't include leaf springs.) Lmao.
They do have a lot of frame flex though. O_o
Yeah my truck has lots of frame flex, more than the rear suspension lol. Im going to do some kind of trac bars and when I do that I might box the frame.
