I bought the kit for my gold coolant and there is a short enough life on the strips that I should not have bought 25; I have given many away. (problem being I only have one color chart) So think twice about the quantity you buy or inquire as to the life of the strips before purchase.
So I went into the dealer today to get my truck flashed for the hp upgrade. I asked the service adviser if I could talk to the tech to see what strips they test the orange coolant with. They must have a policy that the tecks can't talk to the customers because he said the teck was to busy. He assured me that they know what they are doing when testing the coolant. I informed him that I had talked to parts and the parts guy asked the tech what strips they use, the answer was the average coolant test strip. The service adviser reassured me those were the right one's. He was wrong and the tech was wrong.
To make a long story short, I was waiting for my truck to get done and the service adviser came out to get my diesel supplement because the tech was second guessing himself. At the end he said that the dealership is ordering the right test strips to test the orange coolant. It scares me the lack of knowledge some of these tech's have.
Just some info, The average test strip won't read the nitrite level in the orange coolant. The reading is zero. I also wouldn't order the strips from accu-strip until they know what they are selling. I talked to them and they told me these were the right strips and they are not.
