Coolant Additive Question

Coolant Additive Question
There was another coolant additive thread but I had a question pertaining to my truck and adding the additive and I did not want to hijack the other thread.
I went by NAPA, the smallest pack of test strips they had was 50, I'll never use that many so I did not get them.
I bought a pint of NAPA Kool 4056. Is it ok to add it without testing? It's been about 14 months since the coolant was changed, it was added last at that time. Can you over treat the coolant?

Theoretically I suppose you can. The Chart you will compare the test strips to has a Green Area which is the preferred range. It has "SERVICE" as a Watermark which is confusing. It means the vehicle is safe for service.
I test mine semi-annually. What I find is the SCA lasts about a year or 15,000 miles, however you lo it.
If you haven't added any in a year I say yes, add away. Otherwise, just wait foe the Test Strips and do it then.
