I have a 2005 F-150 Quad short bed. Just today when i put it in gear both drive and revearse it starts to hicup, almost like a little studder. It goes away for a few seconds then comes back. Any feed back i can get would be great. Thanks!
Welcome to the forum, Yaws.
There are a bunch of us that will vicariously help you through your issues. But right now.........
I am at a loss of understanding what you are trying to say. Could you provide a better description? Try to narrow it down to the engine or the transmission, or even closer if you could. Expand on the truck model, engine size, transmission, etc. Slang terms are great for the local area you hang in but there are folks hear from other countries and will not be able to translate your vernacular and old farts like me that suffer the generation gap.
I am guessing what you are trying to say is that when you shift into gear the RPM's drop and the engines seems like it is trying to shut off. If that is correct then we have a few options to look into. But first it would be helpful like EBTDM said if we knew more about the truck. Aside from the model and stuff it would be helpful to know the mileage, 4x4 or 4x2, and what sort of work has been done recently.
This could be as simply of a fix as replacing the fuel filter but once we have some more info we can say more.
