Flashing Wait to Start & Check engine light
I called edge today , and they were very helpful. They are sending me a new programmer plus a reprogrammer with the stock flash in it. It should be here tommorrow. He also said if I would of bought the new cts(Color Touch Screen) evolution, that they would be able to do it over the internet(of course it is twice the price). I must say , he knew what he was talking about right off the top of his head(like it wasn't his first rodeo). He seemed pretty confident it would fix it this time , but if it happened again we would discuss refund or upgrade or replacing the computer so it doesn't keep happening.
Lol, so they're pretty well versed dealing with PCMs with a corrupted flash. Go figure.
I'm glad you had a good experience with their customer support. At least they're standing behind their product.

About him knowing his stuff , Yeah, i kinda thought the same thing.
Anyways we will find out later today when it gets here . Either way like I said I bought the truck with being told the computer was bad. But I got it running with said computer.
Ok . I got the new tuner and reprogrammer. The new programmer fixed it, but I had taken out the add-a-fuses for the new gauges. After changing the tune a couple times everything was fine. The next day after bringing the dog to the vet I tried it again at home with the gauges plugged in. Boom, same problem . After taking the gauges back off , the reprogrammer fixed it again. I found that my gauges turning on and off while it was trying to save and program was corrupting the data. Also I just bought this truck in the beginning of the year with being told it needed a computer. It did not. I got it running by changing the oil. I also put all new battery terminals and charged the batteries after getting it running. Before changing the terminals the brake controller didn't work , but after changing them everything works perfect. I just got back last week from a 2300 mile cross country trip with a 16x8 foot enclosed trailer with no problems. Unfortunately it was all stock for the trip (no tuner) because I sent them all back to edge for a refund. I now have a ts performance 6-position and love it. Hope this helps and good luck.
I just bought a dyno and i'm starting a dyno business , so I wanted to start with the stock ts tunes first. Then move up from there. I only drove the truck a few days before cutting off the muffler and gutting the cat , but the 75+ felt a little stronger than level 2 on the edge. I completely love the shift-on-the-fly ability. I have probably changed the switch over a hundred times in the first couple of days.
1995 F350, stock except for a 60 hp boost from DP Tuner on the computer.
Brief History: In February I converted from a busted E4OD to a ZF5 Manual. I have had no trouble except that cruise did not work. I finally traced wires to a orange with yellow stripe going to what used to be a speed control servo in the auto tranny (pin 6 in the pcm harness). I jumped a hot wire in the same harness to it to see if it would trick the pcm into thinking the servo was there and restore cruise. Truck ran as usual, but still no cruise. I removed the jumper from the wires.
The next morning when I turned on the key the Wait To Start Light and the Check engine light were alternately flashing, and when I cranked it it ran then died, ran then died, over and over in perfect rhythm with the lights. Also the #2 relay in the under the hood fuse box was clicking. The door buzzer also rings in rhythm with lights.
Here is what I have done so far: Checked all fuses, the diode, and the relays ( I checked the relays by plugging them in #3 and tooting the horn to see if they worked ). All are fine. My friend is an professional mechanic so we used is up to date engine diagnostic to check for codes. No codes, but in several of the KOEO tests it failed to link up. In some of the KOER tests, when the diagnostic computer took over, it ran excellent. As soon as the test was over it went back to running poorly. My friend checked with some of his ford guys, and they said it was either pcm or idm. We tried a loaner idm and it resulted in no change to the way it ran, so I bought a new pcm. I installed it and it did not change the way it ran. I also swapped the crankcase position sensor for the new spare one I have, no change, still ran the same. Jody at DP Tuners suggested that it may be the fuel bowl heater, so I unplugged the lead to it and taped it up out of the way. No change.
Any ideas? Could it be something as simple as the glow plug relay shorted out?

Welcome to the forum. You may be better off starting your own thread about what your truck is doing and what you have done to it.
1996 7.3 does the same thing
I have a 1996 f-250 7.3 with a Ts performance tuner and it does the exact same thing it would shut off then flash back and forth between Wts and check engine with the clicking sound from under the dash and after sitting for a while it would start up idle for a while then shut off and repeat except for the last time it started back up and drove me 35-40mins home I’m hoping someone has figured out what’s going on so it’ll save me the headache
