1990 e-350 7.3 lifter removal???
Can I take off the valve cover. Take off the rocker arm. Take out the push rod. And use a long handle magnet to remove the lifter up though the push rod hole?? Then reverse the process to install new lifter and push rod?
Or do I need to take the whole engine apart? Thank you.

what he said, lifters are installed through the valley between the heads, which is covered by the pan and it has the IP and intake manifold on top of it too. The openings in the heads are only large enough for the pushrod to pass through them, besides even if the hole was large enough for a lifter there are still the lifter guides to be dealt with down there in the abyss...
