starting issue
okay so i had this issue a few last month but i just needed to clean my battery and cable terminals. so i did it this time n now it just makes a click click when i turn the key to warm the glow plugs then when i go to start it start it. there's nothing but the tach jumps around?
also heres a pic of what im sure is my glow plug controller.?

Nope, That would be the starter relay (solenoid).
1988 ... The Glow Plug controller and relay is located on the back of the Intake manifold behind the air cleaner housing.

Have you checked the glow plugs for dead ones?
The new style system uses resistance feedback to time the glow cycle.
A couple burnt out plugs make the system inoperative, it just clicks or does nothing at all.

okay so the glow plugs check out good! so what els could it be?noticed some are missing the rubber that go over the glow plug leaving the end exposed is that ok or should i get a new glow plug harness?

It was the wiring solenoid, so i just replaces a few wires n BAM started right up! now my issue is the left battery is arking (sparking)off the hood, its like 1" taller then the one on the right, any ideas to block it?
