I have the diamond eye 3" downpipe (2 piece). Easy to install. Getting the old one out is the hard part. You have to cut the "head" off near the turbo and cut it as far up as you can from the bottom as well. Then just need to cut and bend up the seam on the firewall.

For the FPR shim find the big brass nut on the FPR (driver side of the fuel bowl). Remove the nut and the spring inside. Place the BB inside followed by the spring and nut making sure the spring is centered on the nut.

I average 17-18 mpg mixed driving. Over 20 on the highway.

I don't have the homemade jake brake on mine. I've heard it can wear out the coast clutches on automatics.

When I bought mine it was a dually with 4.10's and I averaged about 15mpg completely stock except for a 6637 intake.

I would personally not recommend the ebpv brake. It is somewhat effective, but I believe the extra strokes in and out of the pedastal can cause premature turbo problems (leaks, cracks)

The truck in my sig. gets 20.5mpg at 62mph on the interstate, around town I get 18-19mpg. and If I drive with my foot in it it will drop to around 16.

The worst towing milage I have gotten was about 17mpg, this was a total weight of 16,000 lbs.

I bought my downpipe from 1994-97 7.3L Ford Powerstroke Chip Programmers Tuners Engine Components Gauges & Mounting Accessories
It is Diamond Eye and I got the stainless one and have been very pleased with it, the only thing I had to do to get the turbo outlet and the pipe to seal was to crimp the bands on the clamp.

I am getting ready to gut the EBPV if that tells you anything.
It hasn't ruined my tranny, but its not stock.
It helps some with slowing down, but honestly I'd rather have the quicker spool and wicked turbo whistle, lol. Oh and slightly lower egt's.
But for about $6 dollars, you can't really go wrong,

Oh yeah, you get more of a hissing sound, not what you hear on a semi.

I get about 18.5 mpg, and I drive my truck for all its worth.
Towing, lowest I've seen is 15 mpg, same driving style.

ok have an update on the truck well called ford there commercial branch and talked to tech and he said 90 to reflash 110 to throughly scan and check presures while running and so forth asked what it was doing and told him he said it might need an update or more to dianose and update worst case nothing mechanical 190. in the mean time i notice no power barely climbed aroot in front yard that ive done tons of times almost got run over in traffic the other day and most of all no turbo wishel before i had it at idle so i reprogramed and yep smelled rich but i have a wishel and seems to have power again will drive later. also i notice while stock the ebpv moved a start then emmidiatly moved back. did not watch to night was dark.

It was $35 for a reflash for me ???
Two updates included.

Here's a guarantee: Have Ford do the tests, they will tell you that you have two bad injectors. so you fix them, they rescan, and "oh my! you have two more bad injectors. you might just want to replace them all."

I did have to bend up the seam, but that's all. I didn't have to do anything major to the firewall.

It really depends on the individual truck. Some seem to have the cab mounted farther forward, some farther back. Mine was easy to get in, some need a little more work on the firewall.
