Im thinking about selling a few badges seeing as they came extra with my truck and all the holes have been shaved. I have 2 f100 badges, paint is faded on both and one has a crack in the plastic peice, good chrome. I also have one gear and lightning bolt hood badge, faded paint but the chrome is in excellent shape. What should I ask for them? I was going to sell for $20 for all 3, i can re-paint the f100 peices custom and get a new peice of plastic in the one. I thought of fixing them up custom for my truck but with all the holes welded and shaved I dont want to drill lol.
There are a few FTE members who sell their spare parts and perhaps they can advise. Also, can probaly check on ebay and see what they are going for. Seen ebay sellers list them anywhere from $10-$100, depending upon condition. The plastic inserts only run about $10. Suggest taking a buffing wheel, or chrome polish, may be able to get a little more. About same with the Hood badge, noticed the V8, as opposed to the lightening bolt tend to go for a littel more. Came across a couple sets of 65's, which they don't reproduce, for $25 ea., figure that rather than purchasing a set of 66's as substitutes I would have the 65's rechromed, should come to about the same cost, perhaps little bit more.
The chrome on the ones I have are pretty damn good, polished it should blind other drivers. I heat you on the v8 emblem, that one is the only one on the truck. Im not trying to make a bunch of money on them but rather see them go to someone who will use them.
You wouldn't happen to have the small one that goes on the lower fender that says 352 on it would ya?
There is no such thing as a 352 emblem installed on any truck.
The only 352 emblems I'm aware of, were installed on 1965/66 Galaxie/LTD's. 1965 is different from 1966.
The 1965 352 emblem (C5AZ16228C) is the same right/left. The 1966 352 emblem is right (C6AZ16228), left (C6AZ16229E) specific.

The 1966 F100 fender emblem is different from 1965.
1965: FORD 100 atop the emblem / 1966: FORD atop the emblem, 100 below encompassed within the emblem.
Gear and Lightning Bolt hood emblem: 1961/64: ALL / 1965/66: 6 cylinder only / 1965/66 352's have a V8 emblem.
Both hood emblems have been reproduced as has the 1966 fender emblems.
