Good evening,
I posted a while ago about the difference between the chrome edition and chrome package. Well, my truck has the chrome package which is identical to the chrome edition. Anyway, I want to remove the F-150 emblem on the tailgate and put a chrome edition badge in its place. However I can not seem to find where to buy the chrome edition badge. I even went to the dealer, they said that they can not get the badges because someone else makes the chrome edition for ford, much like the roush trucks. Does anybody know where to get this badge or who makes these trucks for ford? I appreciate all the help.

I don't know that it really helps (or if it's true), but I found the following from another forum thread dated May 2006:
"They only allow people that have a Chrome Edition Ford to get one. The dealership adds these to the Chrome Package at a cost of $250 extra. ... The grill is not a bolt over. You have to remove the honeycomb grill. Roush offered this as an addition to the chrome package on the 06 F150's. I had to give my vin # to show proof that my truck came with the chrome package option. The upgrade includes the grill and a "Chrome Edition" emblem that mounts on the tailgate just below where the F-150 emblem currently is. The send a nice little jig that helps in mounting it on the truck straight and level. You guys may be able to get one by calling your dealer and see if they have sold any F-150's with the Chrome package and the buyer didn't opt for the grill and emblem. They should at that point sell them straight out to you."
I appreciate the help, I actually found the badge on ebay then. It was brand new and made by roush performance. I talked to the dealership and they were not sure who made them. Again, I appreciate the help.

The chrome edition package: chrome 18" wheels, exhaust tip, step bars, grill surround, and leather steering wheel. I don't have the chrome grill. The chrome grill was an additional charge or option with the chrome package.
The chrome edition package was a $1,395 option with a $1,000 chrome package discount on my MSRP Sticker. So total cost to me was $395.
I have the chrome package, which is everything that you have described but I dont have a chrome edition.
I have seen the chrome edition badge in person, but it is rare. I dont remember what grill it had.
Wow $43 for a badge!
those badges are rare... i bought a Roush grille and it documentation about the Chrome emblem, i am currently havig my parts guy work on getting me one.
I can't wait to find some Chrome package wheels for my truck. I know if I wait long enough I will find some new take-offs around town. I like these wheels, they look a whole lot better to me than the Lariat gold ones.
