I put the EGT probe in the drivers side manifold toward the back. I also teed into the MAP line for the boost gauge. Very simple to do. I think RIFF RAFF has a piece for right off the turbo on the boost guage.
There is a vacuum line that runs from the turbo to the passenger side wheel well. On top of the wheel well is a container to which the line runs. I cut this line, installed a T and then ran my vacuum to the guage through the firewall on the driver's side of the truck. I know of several posts on this subject already, which is where I found mine. It is a really simple process. The hardest part is assembling the parts. Like I said earlier, RIFF RAFF Diesel has an item that would help in eliminating the need to cut the MAP vacuum line.
Look at this photo and the tee in the upper left (white tee and brass fitting) by the heater hose is the map line and where I tapped my boost gauge into.
