So isn't CJ-4 vs. CI-4 better oil regardless of whether you run a DPF? DPF adds heat and fuel to equation and I think iJ-4 was designed to combat both better.
It doesn't have all the good additives. They both deal with heat equally. Look, you should all be running CJ. I am just telling you what I run and why, not trying to talk anyone into anything, including DPF delete. I am not a dealer for anything, I have been in the heavy equipment industry for 25 years and I am very set in my ways stupid as it may sound, just my opinion and we all know what opinions are like.
First off, I want to hear why in your opinion, CI is better than CJ. I am not arguing, just wanting to learn. So the CJ is missing some of the good additives that CI has? I am of the mindset that newer version of something are not always improvements.
Yes, CJ does not have all of the additives. In fact Amsoil with not let you run the CJ synthetic the longer intervals because it breaks down sooner. I am not a fan of extended oil intervals anyway, but that tells you something about the oil. Again, my opinion.
