i can go days without any issues at all-other days there are.
problems are-
(a.) from a dead start it takes of fine until it hits second gear-when it does shift into second gear it there is no acceleration at all the engine will rev like its in neutral.(like i said some days the tranny is like the day i drove it off the lot.
(b.) sometimes it shifts real quick and im in third or fourth at 15mph.
(c.) sometimes when i have my CC on it will just shut off and i cant put it back on.
its a very well taken care tranny and fluids are changed every 20k
I have a 95 7.3 pcm controlled a/t. I had exact same problems, code read was speed sensor fault, crawled uner the rear end, pushed that conector in about another 1/4 inch (meaning it was loose) my side clip pins were broke off, it was replaces a while back, and the elec clip wiggles i guess, the cat jumped up there to get away from the dogs, I've seen that a couple of time, anyhow, that fixed it 4 me.
the part i dont understand is when im i second gear and i go to accelerate its like im in neutral. (if it did it every day like this id say its time for a rebuild but there are days that it shifts like i drove it off the lot.
THATS exactly WHAT MINE DID!! thats the way they act went the speed sensor is bad, runs, with power to rearend only in 1st gear. I HAD MINE REPLACED, AND THEN MONTHS LATER IT HAPPEND AGAIN, BUT ONLY NOW AND THEN, THATs WHEN i crawled under there and found the elec connection was wiggley loose, pushed it all the way in and IT DOES FINE now. so the SS may be bad intermittley and/or loose connection. SOMETIMES it would work fine and then mess up going into 2nd or 3rd gear.
