Tire pressure

Hey guys, just got some new tires after that major bolw out on the front driver side. Anyway got some 305/70/16 BFG A/T and they recommend 65 psi but is it fine if I fill it at 50 psi unloaded?

Chris, the chalk test will tell you correct tire pressures. Take a piece of that really big sidewalk chalk, and draw a thick line straight across the tread. Drive the truck forward so the tires get a few revolutions, then get out and look at the chalk line on the tire. If it's wearing off evenly, your tire pressure is good. If it's wearing off in the middle of the tread, your tire pressure is too high. If it's wearing off on the sides of the tread, tire pressure is too low.
