Careful now. I had a guy from Chico working in my motorcycle shop a few years ago, who used to work for a big cycle recyclers in Chico. He kinda fit right in with the local redneck populace.

So true....
Ironically, the "deep south" end of our county features some of the, umm, most unique (and socially useless) characters you'll ever meet.

If race gas is leaded I wonder why the switch chip on my ecm is rated to run premium normally and on the other setting i can run race gas, I have never tried it though.

Because race gas is higher octane so the chip can use a higher spark advance. Why can't they run it with leaded fuel? The chip maker doesn't care if you ruin your sensors or cats. They might assume that anyone that is running race gas is racing the truck and doesn't have those parts on the truck anymore.

It could also be tuned for use with unleaded race fuel. I have ran many varieties of unleaded race fuel over the years, the most recent was VP's MS109. It's good stuff, but the stoich ratio is different, so the tune must be setup correctly for using it, or the fuel mixture will be lean...
