Guys, I have a '78 F100 Custom, SWB, 2WD, with a 351W and C6 transmission.
Question 1: Curious if other years Windshields are compatible with the '78 (i.e. any 73-79's)? As well as the rear windows?
Question 2: Windshield Washer Sprayers....is there any way to Change them to a different style? Currently mine are the JET stream, and only spray in two very DIRECT spots...I have looked at the aftermarket sprayers...I would prefer to have some that fan out...is there an aftermarket type that work well? or how do you get under the vent area where the sprayers are located? All the aftermarket sprayers I have seen require the base to be screwed on, and I would need to get under the vent area (not sure what the correct term is, but hopefully everyone knows the area I am talking about)
73-79 windshields are all the same. I believe for the aftermarket sprayers are supposed to just mount onto the hood? I think it would be near impossible to put one under the cowl.
Here are a couple of options to install more sprayers:
1. Get a couple/few from an early Mustang. Drill a hole on the face of the cowl to insert the metal tube, secure with a screw to the cowl, and tee off to them. Note that you'll have to aim through the cowl's slots.
2. If you're okay with drilling the hood. The sprayers from 85-92 VW Golfs (and their variants and maybe newer too) have two sprays on one head and can be aimed by (gently!) inserting a needle into the orifice and aiming it to the areas of choice.
I would prefer to not drill into the hood, they need to come up with a sleeve to fit over the OEM sprayers, and convert them to a fan style or dual sprayers per side...
What's everyone's thoughts on sliding rear windows in the dentsides? I don't have A/C, so I am looking at it for air circulation purposes...but would probably go with a tinted/smoke color...

Get the tinted single window slider, I don't think they still make the 2 window sliders but if they do and you have the choice I'd get the single.
The rear window is the same from 73-96 and also for 97-98 F-250 and above heavy duty.
Are you sure, because my brother has a slider from an 86 and I have one from a 79 (according to the person at the show) and the groove for it to go into the window rubber is like a 1/4 inch taller than the groove out of the 86 which is almost flat.
