FINNALY!!!! luckly i got a very nice Christmas bonus and got word of a GREAT deal on studded snow tires at sears. so i ran down there. bought a set of Firestone Winterforce studded 265/70 16's for $470 studded, mounted and balanced.

the truck sticks to the ice rink roads like GLUE! i've kept the 400lbs of weight in the back and its a TANK now! i'm very impressed with the tires..the price was amazing and the traction is off the charts.

well we made it safe and sound to Seward,Alaska. truck ran great! 3 adults, 400lbs of gravel in the back along with our luggage and crap. running in 4x4 the whole time i still got around 13.8mpg i was pretty surprised.

loading up

heading out...on the road again!

made it safe...took about 2 hours to go 135 miles

had to get some snacks

topped the truck off

explored alittle bit...found where there had been a few avalanches across the road.

at the hotel...nice holiday inn express

the harbor

i'm heading down to the pool...so i'll update more tomarrow

The pics are great and the text reads sort of like "The Perils of Pauline" or a "Hardy Boys Adventure". You just HAVE to keep reading to find out what happened in this episode.
I keep waiting for the Exc. or the Expi. to get up close and personal with a bear.

lol thats my '98 expedition...as this is in the expedition forum. my explorer sits most of the time now..its just my show truck anymore.

explorer, based on the ranger..small truck came only with the choice of 2 4.0 V6s and the 5.0 V8

expedition, is fullsize based on the f-150 offers 3 rows of seats optional, much more cargo room. uses 4.6 and 5.4 mod motors

excursion, is based off the super duty 3/4ton as you know.
