i really do try and keep them as clean as possible. i will admit i'd been lacking with the expy. she had not had a good detail since i bought it last year. although she was pretty clean it was not perfect..i'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to detailing. a horrible flaw haha
that reminds me Moto Mel, i need to PM you about somthing.
well i broke the hose out and washed her early this week since it was so nice and warm out. then we get a bunch of snow! damnit lol
i'm really enjoying the look of these wheels though. plus the 1" wider wheel has made a slight change for the better in handling. i've been driving the expy more recently due to gas prices so the miles are racking up.
Scrub those letters on the tires, they should look like pearly whites! Or turn them around, I've done both. I have 8 tires worth of white letters facing out right now and it is a killer.
i know i've been meaning to clean the white letters up but with the weather the way it is once i remembered it was pointless. i love the white letters out and i do try to stay ontop of them...just spring time sucks! lol
I hope that was with your Excursion and not the Expedition. I just went on a 730 mile round trip and averaged 17.89 in my Navigator. I don't travel as fast as you because the troopers seem to come up out of nowhere in Va. and 15 over get you a reckless and more. Also radar detectors are illegal in Va.
thats the expedition gauges! lol plus we have alot of hills. the excursion gets about 400 miles on a tank...thats at 10mpg w/about 4 gallons left. i am a lead foot but on the highway it was 55-70mph
i should mention 170 miles of that tank was in city, the rest was highway. on the highway i've been able to get almost 14 more i'm sure in the summer.
btw i need to go out and take a pic of that part i need.

My mileage was about 98% highway with the cruise on and not more than 3 to 5 mph over the posted limit, Very gentle hills and only a few turns, no twistys, Just a nice boring ride.
I need to go out and take a pic of that part i need.
I'm still waiting... If you were as fast with a camera as you are on a keyboard you would have the part in front of you by now.
yeah we dont have boring roads...its all mountains and twistys and i like pushing the limits. plus i run w/O/D off unless i'm going to be above 65mph for a decent period of time to keep the downshifts to a min.
i know i know i need just go outside and take it..i'll do it tonight :-p
The pictures are beautiful. Reminds me a little of when I lived in Wyoming. I really miss the mountain and scenery. Wisconsin just doesn't compare at all. Plus I liked the population of Wyoming. For some reason you can get away with taking a picture of an Expedition by some mountains and if someone else would do it, it wouldn't be right. Your pics are cool. Really enjoy the photo's you post.
Where did you get the 5.4L stickers. I have been looking and haven't found anything, ebay or other places. The ones I found look odd.
