6.2 Headers

Here is a pic of 6.2L headers from American Racing Headers now avail.

These are for the Raptor but we are seriously thinking this system might just fit the Super Dutys with minor modification. ARH has sets out for the 5.0 mustang and stock no tune and headers no tune picked up some great gains 30-40 hp roughly if i remember.

There should be some before and after dyno results on the Raptor some time soon I hope from ARH.

Those like like a really nice set of long tubes. Should bump the power up quite a bit.

Thats what i think too, seeing how the 6.2L likes the upper rpms to make its power.
I am trying to get an underneath shot of them installed on the raptor to eval the SD install.

When it comes to stock headers/manifolds, Ford sure left a lot to be desired...

Thats true but the good old cast stock ones have to last forever. I am still trying to get pics of under side of that raptor maybe today.

The OE cast manifolds on the 3V modulars and the new 6.2l are a LOT better than what came on the 2V modulars. Nice thing about thick cast manifolds is they are quiet, which a lot of people like.

With those long tubes you should be able to pick up a good bit of torque too.

Good point on being quiet. This thing is really quiet at hwy speeds. I am thinking that the tune and headers might make 60 HP ish to the rear wheels. At least i can hope for those good gains. These things are not cheap though gulp..

Do you think they will fit by looking at the pics? That front driveshaft sure looks tiny on that Raptor compared to the SD. An additional 60rwhp with headers and tune is nothing to sneeze at. What do those 6.2l Raptor headers run, 2 grand?

I will be under the truck this evening. I am pretty sure the headers will fit mega room on the super duty. The rest of it is gong to be the question. Total system map is 1645. Small front drive shaft was my first thoughts too when i seen it.

That driveshaft has a real CV joint on the front-end of it, and I bet the shaft itself is solid like a front-wheel drive car's axles.
