I have a 1989 F-150 4x4 with a 4" Rancho lift kit, a set of 35's in a 10" rim.
Additionally I have add 2" wheel spacers to avoid wheels rubing with radious arms.
When going in reverse wheels tends to loock like this.... /....\ (like a negative camber) but it is just when going in reverse, is it a normal condition?
Going fordward ig goes like this |....|
Also recently the power steering has become too hard to steer, have check for leacks and for fluid level and is OK, mods on steerings is just an AFM radiator.
What should I check for on bouth problems? Is the first problem a normal condition? Does the wheel spacers have caused this condition?
Ok, if your rancho kit just has drop down brackets for the radius arms your camber will go out when you go in reverse. I have a rough country kit with drop brackets and mine does the same thing. I have driven a friends with a Tuff country lift with the aftermarket radius arms and his doesn't do it at all.
Even on a stock application, the TTB front end causes this camber effect when reversing. Take a look at almost all of them you see backed into a parking spot and you will see this. It is nothing to worry about.
