I have read several threads on this forum about improving handling of the Ford Expedition by replacing the factory front end bushings with Energy Suspension bushings. My problem is I'm having a tough time getting the correct part numbers. I have a 2000 XLT 4X4 which has the 1.38 front sway bar and all the kits I have seen are for the 2 wheel drive model which has the 33mm sway bar. I tried Energy Suspension's web site and they only list part numbers for '97 and '98. Any help would really be appreciated. I'm on vacation for the remainder of the week so don't think I'm rude if I don't get back to you right away
The part you are looking for is 4-5145. This is for 97 or 98 and up Expy 4x4s. I just went through this a week ago. The years of the Expys don't matter... it is 4x2 vs 4x4 that matters.
Also, the front control-arm bushings are 4-3145 if interested.
I bought mine from Summit Racing. Go to their website and search for ENS-4-5145R. You will have to call them to order because it is a back-order / non-stock item.
I should be getting mine by the end of November.
One last thing, the Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway bar is another popular item. (I just ordered one of those also.) Part number 7624. The Hellwig comes with Energy Suspension bushings.
