Sway Bar Diameter?

Sway Bar Diameter?
Where do you read measurement for front sway bar diameter when buying new bushings? My 2002 F150 4x4 S/Cab XLT bar diameter gives me 25.??mm roughly; Slightly over 1". Moog seems to only sell sway bar bushings starting at 27mm. Is that what I use or am I not supposed to measure the bar diameter? I see Energy Suspension sells 25mm bar bushings but I don't want that style for winter use.

I just measured the sway bar on my truck when I replaced mine (We have nearly identical one). I remember the new ones were pretty snug and I use lithium grease to help slide them in place. I went and just re-measured mine it is the same 25mm
Moog does offer a 25mm...it just doesn't come up for our truck...not sure why?
What are you seeing in difference that gives cause for concern for winter??

I had installed poly bushed rear lower control arms in my 05 mustang and they were great. I like to drive that car a couple of times in the winter during storage but not unless it's extremely cold so no salt gets to it. I took it out for a ride in -30 temp and on every bump it sounded like the rear suspension was tearing apart. I guess the supplied grease didn't like the cold temps.

I guess when its that cold, things just ride like a lumber wagon....I just don't expect that the ride is going to be very smooth and wouldn't necessarily contribute it to just the a poly bushing. I understand what your saying though

Oh no, the ride with the stock control arms is fine at cold temps as the rubber bushings still twist/flex. Even the poly didn't ride that bad. I think the poly bushings are hard as a rock at that temp so it's the bushing trying to turn in the sleeve that makes the exaggerated rubbing noise. Thanks for your interest.
